DAY 1: In the classroom…
1. Brainstorm about trees.
2. Revise previous concepts: Cells; Plant cells; Tissues in a leaf; Vital functions; Types of nutrition, photosynthesis; Plants: origin and evolution; Types of plants; Importance of plants in ecosystems.
Questions:
a. What are the characteristics of living things?
b. What types of cells can you name?
c. What is the biological origin of plants?
d. What are the functions of the different parts of a plant?
e. Which foods come from plants?
f. What is photosynthesis?
g. Why are plants essential for the existence of life on Earth?
h. How can plants live in dry areas?
i. What are flowers and fruit?
j. What are plants with seeds?
